Out of wrapping paper for last-minute gifts? Use mine! I made this custom, snowflake-inspired design in OnShape.
The DXF files below should be compatible with most laser cutters, but you can also export your own from OnShape (use the sketch, or the simpler drawing). Just set the laser to “etch” or “score” and tile the design. (Note that a densely-packed design may take a while to cut.) Looks great on plain brown paper!

Greeting card
This year, I again found myself out of time and turned to the laser to help me get my last-minute gifting done. Enter the greeting card design: a screenshot from another OnShape sketch, thrown into the Glowforge interface (which takes .png files, among others), and etched onto cedar veneer. It makes a handsome card:

But what about the box??
Worry not — the Internet has your back!
I used makeabox.io to generate a container of the proper dimensions, with 4mm thickness for corrugated cardboard. I can easily secure it with something festive (ribbon, twine, washi tape, …). Makercase is a similar resource, with slightly different options.
You can also look on templatemaker.nl for containers in many different shapes and sizes! These designs are more compatible with thick cardstock or chipboard.
